Employees may undertake outside employment in accordance with the following principles:
- Outside employment must in no way interfere with the ability of employees to fulfill the normal requirements of their AUI positions. These requirements, include, but are not limited to, the ability to work during regular AUI working hours, and occasionally, as required, to work overtime.
- No outside work relationship shall be established with any AUI vendor, supplier or subcontractor that relates in any way to AUI’s relationship with that firm.
- Information that is not publicly available outside AUI may not be used by employees in the performance of outside employment.
- The name of AUI, its subsidiary institutions, and its funding agencies may not be used by any employee in any business capacity, except for employment reference purposes.
